Students

The WDA-Student Chapter has handed over the reins to the next generation of university students stepping into the role. Our committee is comprised of students from universities across Australia who are passionate about wildlife and studying relevant fields.

Our Vision

Our goals while we are on the committee include creating a seasonal newsletter (as you might have already figured out!), increasing our social media engagement, help provide students with grant and scholarship opportunities, building connections, and increase the WDA-A student chapters’ reach to more universities, countries, and degree types.

Our Commitment

We have all agreed to meet monthly to maintain the momentum of our motivation as we begin this role. We have also created more specific roles in the committee, so that everyone has an area to focus in, to bring our vision then together as a whole.

Further Information

Our Student Committee

Every two years a new student committee is selected. This is the WDAA Student committee for 2025/2026:

Seasonal Newsletter Archive

Every season the student chapter releases a newsletter containing interest pieces surrounding Australian Wildlife, upcoming events from the WDAA community, and an Australasian themed crossword.

If you would like to recieve this newsletter in your inbox four times a year please sign up to our mailing list here.
